Join us in Los Angeles for the Sports Lawyers Associations 43rd Annual Conference at the Denver City Marriott City Center.

Practitioners and law students alike know that every year they can count on the SLA to provide the most engaging, topical, and practical conference devoted to the most current and interesting issues in sports law. Participants also earn CLE credits for attending. Sponsors are present with exhibit tables offering industry, related information and resources.

The Sports Lawyers Association brings together practitioners from all the major professional league sports in the United States, tour sports like tennis and golf, and motorsports, as well as international sports like rugby and equestrian sports. In recent years the conference has attracted sports lawyers from all fifty states as well as Great Britain, continental Europe, Asia, and Australia.

In addition to the information-packed conference sessions, SLA attendees always enjoy the evening cocktail receptions, where they can mingle with conference speakers and ask follow-up questions before choosing one of the great local restaurants for dinner.

Thursday begins at midday with Gabe Feldman and Matt Mittens annual summary of the most important sports law cases and controversies to make the news since the last time the group came together.

Friday morning gives everyone a fresh look at a timeless subject: legal ethics, and FIFA and Other Scandals: The Evolving Ethical Obligations of US Lawyers and 24/7 intensive media and blog coverage of everything relating to sports and athletes. Friday afternoon offers Breakout Sessions for interaction in smaller groups on a variety of different topics. two Breakout sessions are offered over a 2-hour period with over ten sessions to choose from.

On Saturday morning SLA once again hosts back-to-back panels featuring the legal counsel of the "big four" US pro sports leagues and the leadership of the unions that represent their players. News has been made here more than once. Then after the official end of the conference, a cross-section of young practitioners stick around to engage the law students and young lawyers present on a topic of vital interest to many of them: "Breaking Into the Sports Industry."

We hope to see you in LA!
